Fabric has developed its own evidence-based tools to design behavior change and amplify digital impact.

Behavior Design Canvas

Behavior change is the key to any project’s success—particularly in digital products, where it separates minimal from meaningful impact for users, society, and the business. The Behavior Design Canvas gives teams a clear, repeatable framework to capture insights together and turn them into testable, behavior-focused outcomes.

Digital Nudges

Digital nudges are embedded design elements—micro-copy, visual cues, and interaction patterns—that gently steer users toward beneficial actions without disrupting their flow. As our behavior-design projects unfolded, we catalogued many nudges and the science behind them —then opened the library to the world so anyone can apply and learn from this knowledge base.

The website now has Over 60 examples of Digital Nudges in leading products explained using over 40 psychology principles, and we regularly bring this tool to our project and educational work.

Behavior Value Chain

The Behavior Value Chain maps where value emerges and is transmitted within product and service interactions, tracing how it circulates among users, stakeholders, and other actors—and how it disperses or is recaptured over time. By mapping these value exchanges, the model helps pinpoints moments that unlock motivation and lower friction, creating catalysts for critical user behaviors that drive the success of products.

Habit Blueprint

The Habit Blueprint is our go-to tool for designing and fine-tuning the underlying models that create and sustain user habits. It considers the full spectrum of a person’s device ecosystem and usage contexts, sustaining engagement across touchpoints that reinforce the habits we’re aiming to build.
